I dont know if anyone here is able to help me with this but I havent recently started temping for a recruitment agency. Now they want me to sign up with an accountant (for €80 a month!!!) to do my taxes etc as I am "self-employed" however, I am thinking I will be able to do my taxes myself, with some help from my family. However, normally the recruitment agency pay through the contractor accountant, and they arent making it easy to not go through their contracted accountant. Am I entitled to do my own taxes? I'm just really confused by this whole scenario and I really cant afford €80 a month out of my wages!!

That is a joke and a rip off.

I will give you a hand for a nominal fee. Maybe 50 for the entire year.

    PM me for details

I bet if you dig deep enough you will find that the Recruitment Agency has some link to the Contracted Accountant, they are just trying to rip you off.
