Leaving Cert/FETAC

I completed my leaving cert in 2011 and didn't get the course I wanted due to the fact that I failed the interview. I went on to do a FETAC level 5 course this year.

What I want to know is which results will the college i'm applying to use? I got 465 points in my leaving cert and the max points for a FETAC course is 400. The course I want was 420 points last year. I just want to be sure that the CAO won't count my FETAC points over my Leaving cert points. And yes I have emailed the CAO about this already, i'm waiting to hear back from them at the moment.

As far as I know, there are separate codes to put on the CAO form for the same course. One is the FETAC code and the other is the Leaving cert code. If you want to apply through both routes to give yourself two chances then you use two spaces on your list, one for each code. (This is only as far as I remember from a few years ago, hopefully someone with more recent info will be able to help). Good luck!
