Can be used for birds, rabbits , rats. I have a break barrel .177 (weihrauch hw80)and a .22 pcp. Its a Crossman Benjamin and I love it. I can get headshots on rabbits out to 70 yards at a push and it kills them stone dead. The .177 break barrel doesnt get out near as often and I am thinking of selling it on in the coming months. In fairness its a smashing little gun and I have never had a single bad experience with it. The hw80 cost me €560 2 years ago and that included a scope and silencer as it was a package deal.
the Benjamin cost me €450 with no scope. In fairness it is not a high end pcp rifle, theres nothing fancy about it. But I love it as it does exactly what I want.

Also , your range with an air rifle is just a little further than that of a shotgun. With practice and a good setup you may be able to get headshots at a max of 80 yards. If you are seeking more range and power try looking at a .22 rimfire. A bit further range than an air rifle and but 6 or 7 times more powerful.
