Japanese Wii with European Power Supply?

Hi there, I imported a Japanese Wii in anticipation of the new Dragon Quest, have not yet plugged it in and was wondering if I can use my European Wii's power adapter on the Japanese system? Is this possible? Or do I need to have a step down converter. Thanks.

You can use the EU wii's power adapter and it should work fine
