Thinking of going camping at a beach in a few weeks with friends and were wondering where do we stand LEGAL wise with a camp fire??? It wont be a huge thing, its literally for keeping warm by night and maybe doing some food etc.. Thanks B.B.

I've never had any trouble over lighting one. unless you were on a very popular beach with kids etc, I cant imagine anyone caring. but actual legal standpoint; dunno

I guess, strictly speaking, you are always on land belonging to another, be it an individual or the State, so unless you have permission you can't light one. But again, would imagine it would depend on where really.
