electrical offshore work

    I am looking for general information about how to get work as an Electrician offshore. Any info would be greatly appreciated

    The only 'offshore' work in Ireland is in The Kinsale Head Gas Field, and they source their electrical contractors from O' Sheas electrical (Jones Engineering).

    To work offshore you will need a BOSIET course (you can do this in either the NMCI in Cork or there is a place in Donegal that does the same course). You will also need an UKOOA offshore medical. Plus some sort of ATEX qualification would be an advantage to work as an electrician or an instrument tech.

    Your best bet would be to speak to an Aberdeen based employment agency.
