I have never seen one of these but would recommend the amiko 8820 combo box, its a nice unit and has a nice remote control as well as working as a media player

I installed a dish for some guys in Rathcoole who had this box and it seemed to be good quality and easy to use.

Thanks Tony, I was just looking at the set up video from tvtrade for the Xoro, seems to be very straight forward, I read somewhere that the Amiko does not have the EPG on Saorview, is this correct?

Afraid I've no idea as I don't sell or have experience of the Amiko, perhaps someone else here can help with that.

Xoro is supported by TVtrade. (Dave sometimes post here as Digital Satellite TV).

Amiko 8820 do full Irish epg now (now and next on Satellite) from unofficial firmware fix through a foreign forum. Satworld sell them. I don't know of support sites in Ireland.

Amiko 8820 are the same chipset as the new Ferguson 150 Combo available in the next week (thread below). The Ferguson has 2 USBs, supports Wifi/Youtube and plays Divx/MKVs. Less than €100.

Fergusons are supported by Tony above.

Grrat posts Guys - - my question:
Thinking of a new Ferguson 150 Combo or a Xoro 8000 - the ferguson looks cheaper - is there any downside?
also I have sat dish and with wiring to 2nd room - what solution would you recommend for a second room ? do i need a 2nd box ?
dont want to wire from one room to the other.
