So who was your driver of the day?

Vettel was faultless before his failure. Grosjean raced very well and didnt make any mistakes before retiring.

Of the finishers Alonso was amazing, and it showed just how much it meant to him afterwards, to come from 11th to win. Hamilton had another really solid race even though it was pretty clear that the McLaren was a lot slower than some other cars he drove well defensively to hold on to a podium spot until being clattered by Maldonado.

Schumi getting onto the podium! Finally he has a clear race and he shows what he can do! I thought in the first half of the race his defensive driving was some of the best Ive seen in ages and then he made hay with the sun shining in the closing stages to use his tyre advantage brilliantly.

Mark Webber did very well to finish fourth and the Force India's were in the points all day.

    So who's it to be.....

Has to be Alonso, he never gave up. Starting from 11th and then winning, with a car a good bit slower than the Red Bulls.
A special mention for Vettel though, he was blazingly fast, till the car gave up.

Alonso or Webber for me, both had great drives through teh field. I gave it to Alonso as he won. Also had Seán Mór won he would have had it. By far the best Valencian grand prix ever, at least after the safety car anyway.

I'm going with Webber. To start in 19th and end up in 4th place was great.

Went Schumacher because I'm biased and was delighted to see him in 3rd.

Alonso and Webber had cracking races!

Alonso for me also. Kept a cool head when he needed it. Great passing from behind the safety car and had the big picture in his head since Canada. The measure of a great F1 driver. His car is slower than a Red Bull, he knew it but kept at it and got the result, albeit through other peoples failures/crashes.
He really is a great dirver.

Serious drive from him wasn't it? Any truth to the rumour that RB are messing about with being able to blow the diffuser somehow?

he just kept his head down and drove the numbers. very good drive but nothing spectacular about it either and given some of the other drives on show it's def not the number 1 effort

has also got owned by Mal and the 2 Force Indias in 3 corners :)

    Mark Webber
    Has to be Seb.

I am glad he had the failure, honourable mention to MS and MW although the races now feel like indy with their yellows. Cruise around for 40 laps then sort of race for the last 17.

Alonso is just supreme. I used to dislike him but he is just a cut above anything else. His brilliance has won me over.
