Merc mechanic recommendations?

Anyone have any recommendations for a mechanic around Dublin (northside preferably) who is familiar with Mercedes and specifically A-class (W168). I have a bit of an issue with mine, seems to have a whining noise when driving. It's not too loud but is there.

I thought about bringing it to a dealer but not sure how that'd go... prob would have to bring some KY with me. :o

EDIT: should mention, its a manual A140.

Did great work for me on a diesel pump when no one else could and were reasonable. Its a small enough garage with a fancy website!

I used to have an A140 and used Annesley Williams on the Old Airport Road when I had to. They're not that bad in fairness. I used to deal with a lad in there (Ritchie I think) and never had any problems with them. Sure no harm going in and getting a price. If it's too dear, just go elsewhere.

    so?

This forum is plagued by first timers and previously dormant posters springing out of the woodwork to give glowing references in response to queries asking for recommendations for sales & service.

Sorry if you feel aggrieved but what I said is a fact, people can take your recommendation or not as they choose.

One of the most common causes of a whining noise on the A classes is a failing aux belt tensioner. If that's the cause, it shouldn't be an expensive repair where ever you go.

Yeah, I did some research and seems like that may be it. Will post the results.
