I am going to be in Brazil for a couple of weeks this August and am trying to find a place with some nice warm beaches. Can anyone recommend some? Is there normally hot weather in North Brazil this time of year?

You realise that northern Brazil straddles the Equator?

I do. Thank you. I should expand on my question a little: I'm flying into Rio and want to work out just how far North I will need to go to be in with a good chance of beach weather.

Yeah. I was in Rio once before at time of year and it was overcast and chilly. I guess it's variable. I'm hoping to get to somewhere with a very high chance of sun.
