    Hi Guys,
I'm down here in Australia. Living here a few years now.
In a bit of dilemma as to what to do with my life. I'm working part time in a job that doesn't pay well, and one that's so boring. I'm only just about making ends meet. I think I got stuck in a rut. There are jobs here, but not as plentiful as people might think. You still have competition to get a job. I'm never felt my job was enough. Diploma alone didn't do it for me. I've longed for a degree, in a field that's totally different. However, if I choose to go back studying at 35 years of age, I will have to do it part time (prefer to) which will take close to 7 years. Also, what's worse, it will cost me €30,000 euro! I'm lucky I have the savings, but I will have no money left after. I'm so tired of 'just' surviving.

It's a case of either trying hard to get a better, more fulfilling job with the diploma I have, or commit to part time study for 7 years and graduate with a degree at 42 years, penny less.
It took a very long time to save my money, part of it was inherited and I hate the thought of starting to save from scratch again. I would be on a better wage with degree, but I don't believe it may be as good as I might think.

What is the best option? Which path would you choose?

Advice most welcome and many thanks guys.

There's a man in my course who'll be finishing his third-level education at 43 years of age and he's as happy as Larry!

Never think that you're too old to do something that you want to do! And money is useless unless it's spent on something you truly desire, which is exactly what this course sounds like. I think you're just put off by how big of a task it would be to pull off, but that you truly want to go and get that degree. I think you should go and get it.
