Enamel wear from teeth contact

Sometimes my teeth (usually molars) hit each other when I'm talking, swallowing, walking briskly, not paying attention or being a little agitated (I'm not clenching though). Do these short contacts between teeth (that are sometimes accompanied by a "click" sound and rarely even with a slight pain, I guess when they are at a certain angle) wear down the enamel and are bad for my teeth?

What force is needed to actually wear down enamel? Will any kind of force wear it if given enough time or is there some kind of a threshold below which enamel won't be worn?
