Key board problem

    A friend dropped in his samsung netbook this evening ,the problem with it is that when you press u you get 4..I you get 5..o=6..p=*..j=1..k=2..L=3 and m gets you 0.. no one in his house is admitting to spilling anything on the keyboard,any ideas whats the problem here, the netbook is only about a year and a half old.

    Could it be Dvorak layout somehow? Numlock is most likely

    I would update the driver for the keyboard even it says it is up to date.

    Has someone connected a ex keyboard by usb to it and just taken it out.?

    Guys ye're are genius, I pressed fn and f11 or f12 and it worked....sound out:) ye inspired me with the num lock comments
