Damaged AMD graphics card?

I think I know the answer to this already, but am hoping I can get some independent verification.

My gfx card seems to be acting up for the last month or so, getting worse lately. I assume its the card by the way rather than the motherboard - not sure its possible to confirm if it's one thing or the other??. The glitches you see attached are random - sometimes the entire screen locks up, sometimes I get the left hand ride appearing on the rhs as per the screen shot, and normally there is distortion of text as per 2nd screen. It's very intermittent, but tends to appear when I play something like Diablo III.

Either way, I assume a new card will fix matters - am I right?.

    Cheers!

When you post in C&T please try and give as much info as possible(images are good though :) ).

    1. Machine
    2. Spec
    3. Games you play(not a big one, but still)

GPUs can artifact due to heat/damage/bad clocks/being end of life/bad drivers.

First thing to test: Install furmark, run, see how hot it gets(after half an hour it'll have peaked). If its getting above 65/70*C you may have an issue with heat.

Next try updating drivers, not just catalyst CC but the manufacturer drivers themselves.
