I have a longines watch which was given to me 30years ago it was my uncles. It still works Just wondering what its worth an where would be the best place to bring it. Its still in original carboard box. Thanks.

Way too little detail for an accurate answer. Have a look at completed deals the bay and see if there's a similar one to yours.
You won't be retiring in it, let's just put it that way.

I'm no Longines expert, but it certainly can't hurt. Do you have anything in the box that might help? Model, mivement calibre? Automatic or manual?

By the way, I might be interested if it catches my eye.

Looks solid gold anyway, The gold back gives the game away. Plated stuff nearly always has a stainless steel back. Most likely 14Kt gold, but may well be 18kt which ups the value. 1950/60's style Longines dress watches go for anywhere between a few hundred quid to well over the thousand. IMHO they're still seriously undervalued a marque. The engraving on yours will hurt the value, but the original box will certainly up it. They're more sought after in the US and the far east than in Europe generally. In short it looks a mid sized(36mm across?), solid gold dress Longines in fairly good condition with original dial notwithstanding the blurred piccies. I'd reckon and it's a guesstimate that 6-700 quid wouldn't be far off. If it's 18kt gold, bigger than 35-6 mm across and is closer to 40mm then add a couple of hundred to that. It needs the right customer of course.
