question about fetac module

I recently did a level 5 course but failed communications so only got a partial award, not a full award, so I don't think I can do year 2/level 6 of the course.

my question is, if I do another fetac level 5 course in september, and pass communications, can I use that to gain entry to the original level 6 course that I wanted to do, even if it's not all on the same results page?

    Thanks!

That depends on the Level 6 course. I know that most Level 7 and 8 courses demand that you complete all FETAC modules in one sitting, but entry requirements vary. You need to contact the course provider. There's a slim chance they may overlook the lack of a full award if the course isn't that popular. If they need the full award, then you only need to repeat the Communications which isn't that taxing (I'm guessing that you failed due to being absent for the skills assignments or not submitting some of the written ones).
