Where have they gotten the 6 extra teams from??
Only 15 teams last year..... Surely there will be too big a difference in standard?

I noticed alright that Clonmel who won the B championship in 2011, are in it.

Personally from a South Tipp hurling point of view its fantastic that these youngsters will get to play at a higher standard as, in Clonmel's case and the surrounding towns around them, hurling has been considerably weak but in fairness the interest has really developed there last few years.

However, i agree it could well be a baptism of fire for them but i wish them all the best as i do to the other Tipperary schools in Templemore, Nenagh and Thurles

Yeah it'll be great for hurling in Waterford :D

Did they win the B in 2011? I know they lost to Dungarvan in the Semi this year.

    They are indeed http://www.irishexaminer.com/archives/2012/0618/sport/waterford-colleges-meet-doon-197761.html

Also, I'm fairly sure Chríost Rí is in Cork City too.

With Clonmel and Carrick being border towns its only fair we credit the Decie Boys who tog out but alot of the Tipp minor football team from last year would have attended the high school so it isnt predominantly Waterford

I know, I was only messing. It is about time the High School made it into the Harty though it's a great achievement at the same time given the strength of football in the area.

They lost 2-9 to 10 points yesterday against De La Salle, which has ruled out qualification I think. Nevertheless, having such a tough group in their first year there, they have done really well. Draws against St Colemans and Castletroy were their other results. They've Ardscoil Ris in the final game, which underlines how tough a group they got as well.
