    Hi,

My jeep was tested in January this year, not by me, I bought it two months ago. The date of the test is on the cert, January 2012.

I need to tax it before the end of the month, is that cert valid to tax it?

When I rang the tax office, the lady told me I need to get it tested, but my boos's jeep is tested in August and he taxes it in December for the year, ie the date is August 2011, but its taxed in Dec 11 for the year.

I understand for insurance purposes etc it will need to be tested yearly but dont fancy forking out for a test now when I don't have to until January or am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance.
