DLC Woin't Work?

Just downloaded Collection 1 & 2 (non elite member) and after they were done downloading, I installed them but now when I try to play them, they are nowhere to be found in the map/SO mission screens?

Has anyone else had this problem? Any idea how I can fix it?

P.S. I've already tried turning it off and on again.

just a guess, did you download the right versions.You know the way you have a bleu code on the side of the disc case and theres a couple of differrent codes in the store..

There are region specific downloads?
I had no idea, I just followed the hotlink the 'COD Shop' through the multiplayer menu and only saw one option for each so it never occured to me.

I'll have to go check that now.

Right, the only code I can see on the disc case is code beneath the barcode, and a second code with no name in bold font above the barcode.

Furthermore, I've checked the store again and the downloads in the store don't appear to display any codes at all and only has one version of each collection.

I think there was a problem a while back with this happening to people but they released a patch that was supposed to fix it. I'd head over to the official cod forums and throw a post up there and if a user can't help ya , some one from the technical staff should be able to help.

If you're on the xbox I'd try going into the system cache (in the memory section) and deleting the cache. Sometimes that works as a kind of reset for online stuff.

Ok thanks for that.
So am I correct in reading that if I delete the system cache, that will just delete the system updates and not the dlc itself?

With the cache you won't delete the updates just recent info as far as I know(have little to no technical ability so can't explain it properly). Similar to you're internet cache where just stores info about recent matches and stuff.
If you go into the memory unit, I think it comes up when you press y. Won't effect any updates or saves .

Try playing a game of the previous DLC maps first, thats what i had to do.

Weirdest thing, after I deleted the system cache, I started palying and when I went to set up a private game, the bonus maps were there in the selection, but when I tried to play the special ops missions they were nowhere to be found...*sigh*

Was havin the same issue. I had the disc installed to the HD. As most do Im sure. I deleted that install and played from the disc and all is working now.

While in-game I signed out and back in to xbox live. That worked for me.

This is getting more bizzare by the day!

Finally got access to the MP maps and had a good few games with them.
Then when I started up again today, I tried a hand at the spec ops but they weren't there and I was told to go to multiplayer menu to download new maps.

I tried your solution Micro, and sure enough, I regained access to them.

Ondafly, I too have the game installed, I'll give your fix a shot in a while. Also, did you re-install it after? Was the fix permanent?

I did - and it all works fine now.

Well, the signing out and back in thing seems to be working but it's only a temporary fix, so I'll be uninstalling the game later.

Just one question though, and sorry if it sounds thick, but will I lose any saves or progress or anything from uninstallin the game?

You won't loose any thing just as long as its only the installed file(around 6 gigs) you delete.

when you go into the storage area to delete it, it will have files relating to their content, i.e. DLC Drop 15 , Replay17 etc, you only want to deleted Mw3 Install - should be about 7gigs or so, it stands out compared to the rest.

Before you delete them just try and download them again. I had the same issue and downloaded them again. It just went from 0 to 100% for each of the DLC in about a second each and then everything worked. Saves a bit of time.

BTW You need to download every piece of DLC that you have again. Even the ones that are working.

Downloaded collection 2 lastnight. Just the 3 multipayer maps.
It says they're installed. If I go into a private match it I can play them no problem. If I go into a public lobby - no sign. Also, it has the "playing with original maps only" at the multiplayer screen.

Like above, try signing out of XBL at the MP menu, then sign back in

I was having the same problem, I uninstalled the Game and all works perfect now.
