I don't think I've ever heard of a cycling club in Athy, though several times I've been down that way I've met groups coming out of the town, not sure who they were though.

Castlecomer club Deenside Wheelers are organising the Helping Hands sportive from Athy so they might be worth a look or it might be worth a shout to a LBS to enquire if they know of any groups.

    Thanks for the reply there
Ye, no active club around here...20 years ago since there was a club here. Often see few small groups passing through, but I think they are more than often clubs from Naas / Carlow pasing through.

Doing that sportive that Deenside are organising..looking forward to it :)

If you'd fancy coming over to Kildare there is a group spin out of the square at 10.30 in the morning, it's a new club starting up, all are welcome, I'm hoping to make it over myself, it'll be my first time out with them I've tried several times to meet up with them but something has always got in the way.
