Just curious ,why no suspension ??? There's No price differance

Because suspension forks are designed for mountain biking. They offer no advantage on a bike that'll mostly be used on the road. Even on fairly non-technical forest trails suspension isn't going to make a huge difference. One of my mountain bikes is fully rigid (the other has suspension forks with a rigid frame) and it's my skill level rather than the rigid fork that holds me back.

On the road a suspension fork just represents an unnecessary additional weight, they also tend to be high and unaerodynamic. Also, suntour forks as fitted on both these bikes are not well regarded. Decent suspension units cost heavy dolla.

I don't know all that much about hybrids because they're the devils work but have a look at the giant escape range, the trek fx range or specialised sirrus.
Also consider a giant rapid or a Lapierre shaper for something a bit nippyer

for 700 you could get a new Lapierre Shaper 300, they are a great bike. I'd go with that if you want a flat bad 700c wheeled bike in that range. I owned an RCR (model before the shaper) and it was an absolute joy to ride.

I just prefer drop bar bikes (road bikes, touring bikes, cyclocross bikes, drop bar fixies/singlespeeds) for road use.

I have a Trek 7.2fx with rear pannier and two bags you can have for 300. Bought on b2w scheme last year but have since got a racer.
