    Regular here going anon.

Basically, over the next two months I have to find a way to complete a really arduous, tedious and uninteresting set of tasks that presently I've no real desire in doing but I know that it's really now or never. (For the short term future anyway) Normally I'd always find my way to graft through these kind of tasks but so far I'm currently coming up completely empty.
Does anyone have a tips/tricks for getting through moments like these? Presently I'm trying to focus on future potential but that doesn't seem to be even giving me the slightest spur. :(

Thanks so much for any help or suggestions offered.

Do you really need to do these things?

If yes, head down and plough through, only way I've ever found to get through **** jobs.

Don't give in, never let them see you are hurting.

    For two months?

Suck it up and get on, two years and I might change my approach!

Focus on doing one thing at a time. It's easier to focus on getting one thing done, than feeling confronted with a multitude of tasks. This is particularly true if you feel overwhelmed in any way when you think about them.

Agree with Blatantrereg, one at a time.

Write a list and tick them off.

Give yourself a closing date for each one.

Make notes of anything you need to do, people you need to talk to before you can actually do the job, and make sure that is under control first.

:D You do not need a multi-coloured spread sheet - that is just prevarication!!!

if it is a fixed task item where there is measurable end goal (Quantity), then your motivation is to do it as efficiently as possible.. it'll mean you will finish it quicker..

if it is like 'how to pass 8 hours work shift', not much you can do other than plough through one day at a time..

You could make a game out of it to apply yourself to achieve better result 'than yesterday' sorta speak..

Doing it is usually not as bad. Thinking about it is worse. So the key is that initial start, once you're doing it its ok. So Start TOMORROW before 12 o clock (if thats possible)
