cancelling as cant afford it at the moment. When i signed up, 3 years ago i got a modem and upc box..i never used the tv box, and about a year ago it was thrown out(stupid, I know) in some electronic disposal scheme in my area.

Anyway, I'm now told I have to return, or pay for it..if anyone has an old one lying around that was never collected and would be willing to sell it I'd be more than grateful ..

any help appreciated..mods I hope this is allowed.

Its not. The boxes are the property of UPC at all times and as such are not yours to sell. Or dispose of, for that matter. You need to contact UPC and be honest about and explain your situation.
