Root canal and crown- price?

    Hi,

    I need a root canal and crown on my lower right first molar. I got a quote of €1,500. €700 for the root canal and €800 for the crown. Is this a reasonable quote? Does anybody know where I could get it cheaper in the Dublin area? I need a quick answer as treatment needs to be done quickly supposedly and any help will be greatly appreciated.

    My other option is extraction for €100. I don't want to lose a tooth but €1,500? I'll find it hard to gather the money. I'd like to hear also from people who've had extractions and does it affect them much. I'd imagine it would be weird and possibly sore when eating food.

    OP is the person doing the work a general dentist or a endodontist?

    Edit: I've had 2 RCs and 2 crowns so the guts ok 4K.. tbh i'd rather pay it then lose the teeth.

    @ helimachoptor Yes it is a endodontist. He's very nice and extremely helpful. There's a tiny chance of maybe getting away with a filling. Going to check it out tomorrow(it'll be very close to the nerve) or crack ahead with a root canal and crown on Monday.
