UK Awarding Body?

I'm applying for BTEA for while I'm in the UK and its asking me the level and awarding body of the course.

I know its an ordinary degree but I can't figure out what the awarding body is. I did a HND course last year that was accredited by HETAC, I was just wanted to know if there was a UK equivalent?

I tried ringing the college but the lady on the phone couldn't answer my question..

Is there actually an independent awarding body in the UK or is the qualification just given to you by the college itself?

It depends. There are awarding bodies (like Edexcel for BTECs) but very often the college is the awarding body (usually moreso with degrees than further education qualifications).

I had the exact same question. Not sure if this will help but the course I'm doing is a BSc in Midwifery and the awarding body is the college itself. Good luck with it.
