Registering a company

    Hi all I would like to start a small business for myself, and I Was wondering the what would be the best Way to do it .

    I have already started my small business and its good, good returns and profits.
    However I now need to increase my assets to really get this moving.

    I want To Buy a couple of high spec PC's , some new Equipment , and a van / commercial Jeep to move my equipment about.

    My questions are :
    1. Can I Register my company name now, before I actually start at this full time
    2. Can I buy the equipment less Vat using the above company name
    3. Can I buy the commercial van/jeep now less Vat using the above company name.

    No. You need to register for VAT First. If it is for a company you need a compay tax nmber which you get by filing a Tax Registration Form in the company name with Revenue.

    3. Can I buy the commercial van/jeep now less Vat using the above company name.
