Hi new to the Golf are of boards.
I have decided to take up golf again due to a minor injury which is prohibiting me from training! I have played in the past as a junior with a handicap of 14 at the lowest, bought new clubs the other day so all set other than I can't decide where to play. I'm a student so rates are good.
My choices are The Curragh Golf Club 320e(one payment) Dunmurray Springs 300e( but can pay 150 up front and pay rest off over a couple of months) and finally Cill Dara Golf Club at 108e

Any advice would be appreciated thanks alot

Played Dunmurray Springs for the first time last weekend, didn't have a great round and the weather was brutal but I really enjoyed it...that in my books makes a nice course. I'd definitely go back.

Can't comment on the other two apart from the fact that I've heard a lot of good things about the Curragh and it's on the list to play.

I would rate the Curragh the best of the 3, but I'm a member there so probably a bit biased ;)

I am not a member in any of these courses, but in my opinion Dunmurray is the best of the 3. I have played in good and bad weather there and seems to always be in great nic!

Have you played all 3? Which one did you prefer?

I played DM recently and am fond of the place. Family owned and extremely friendly.

Strong at inter club with a large youth section (from what I saw). Nice track minus the spaghetti junctions. Don't think they have any practice areas apart from the putting green

Curragh is more traditional. Has it got poor drainage? It's a nicer setting than DM, just depends what you're after. They also have a range (and sheep)

Never played Kildare so can't comment

Was pleasantly surprised in the last couple of weeks that the drainage there is excellent (my first year as a member there)

can't quite remember the deal, but as far as I know at the start of the year membership of Dunmurry also gave you 5-day membership for a couple of other courses around Leinster (sorry the details escape me now, but might be worth asking the question in the clubhouse)

Thanks guys decided to go with Cill Dara purely financially and distance based!
However literally 10mins after joining I received an email from the Curragh offering me the rest of year for 170e :-(
