What reference site(s) do you use for TV programmes?

I used to use tvtome all the time back in the day but since it changed to TV.com it became really slow and full of crap with all the useful info hidden behind a few clicks and spoilers all over the shop.

I used IMDB for a bit but again they changed the layout and now it's impossible to find anything useful like a plot summary on that site.

I mostly use Wikipedia now as it gets straight to the point and tells me everything I need to know in a few lines. The downside is that spoilers aren't really marked and you can very easily have a surprise ruined even in the opening lines.

For reviews, I like Television Without Pity and The AV Club. I know there are tons of good sties out there but am always afraid to read them if I haven't watched the absolute latest episode of a show.

    What do you guys use?

My site of choice is epguides.com (for episode lists), and each episode has it's own link to tvrage.com where there is a summary of the episode. Popular shows have full episode recaps too (and only the first line or two of the recap is displayed - you need to click into it).

For trying to see when shows are on and get snippits of upcoming shows, I find that sidereel is pretty good.

I forgot to mention trakt.tv which I use with the EpisodeGuide android app and tvtropes - the best way to check a reference and lose a Thursday.

I mostly use the imdb iOS app. Some information is missing however but I can live with it. I'll usually head to Wikipedia for episode guides and I do love televisionwithoutpity but I try to stay away as those recaps can keep me hooked for ages.

in general I just want to know basic show information and I try to let the show do the talking for itself. Mostly actors is what I want to know about.

I like the r/television subreddit on Reddit, TV by The Numbers, AV Club, and this forum! Use Wikipedia sometimes too
