Purchased it from Amazon.de (I cannot understand German)
Should I contact Samsung or Amazon?

How do I get a replacement? Does it cost money?

    Specs:

    pARIj.png

    Problem:

    1. The taskbar/explorer.exe is slow and delayed, sometimes it freezes when hardly any processes are running.
    2. The length of time for opening up programs is a joke for 8GB.
    3. Changing songs in itunes is even slow!
    4. Using Google Chromes search bar is slow. Even web pages are loading slow ever though I have 25-30mb average.

    What I have done:

    1. I have deleted all the bloatware that came installed.
    2. The latest windows updates are installed, the latest Nvidia Drivers too.
    3. There are hardly any programs in msconfig/startup.

I want to throw this piece of **** out the window.

Would really appreciate if anybody could help me, what should I do?

The freezing has stopped but it still takes so long to open programs.
I think I'll make a video to show what I mean.

I don't think it's hardware related, though that's very odd since it's a new laptop. A better option might be a fresh install of W7 perhaps? Give it a go anyways.
http://ninite.com/ < That might help with installing new stuff on a fresh install.

What type/speed hard drive is in it?

Serial ATA, how can I check speed?

I've had a look, was this the one you got?

As far as I can tell it's a 5,400 RPM hard drive, not the quickest by any means but it's a pretty high spec laptop apart from that, I wouldn't expect it to be slow especially seeing as you haven't had a chance to install much onto it.

You could try get some hard drive diagnostic tools and see if there's any issues with it.

a slow hdd wouldnt be this bad for what he is saying, its a i7 ffs.

install all the latest drivers for graphics and chipsets first.

then maybe a total fresh install of win 7.

cant see how this is hardware related.
