Hi all. I was just looking for a bit of feedback on which is the best driving lesson company in the South Dublin area from your own personal experiences, particularly <SNIP>

Under the new rules I know I have to complete EDT lessons. So are they separate to actual driving lessons? The site was a bit unclear on this. It gives 12 EDT lessons for €290, which seems to be below the Dublin average (~€300). Does that total cover actual driving lessons also.

Going to ring up before the weekend but I don't want to seem like a complete dope.

    Cheers guys.

For finding instructors post in the 'Searching for instructors' thread up top.
The idea of the EDT lessons is that you practice in between each lesson. EDT lessons can be enough, but some people will often opt for more. It is you money to spend as you wish, so if the instructor says you need more lessons think do you agree with them or not. Arrive at the first lesson with the money for one lesson in one pocket and the bulk in the other. If you are happy with the lesson go for a bulk, if you are unsure just pay for one and then get another instructor.

Not really sure what you are asking. Are the 12 EST lessons separate to other driving lessons? No. The 12 EDT lessons ARE the 12 mandatory lessons that you must do before you can sit your test. You are welcome to do more if you feel that the 12 are not enough to get you to where you feel ok about sitting and passing your test. You are expected to be practicing your driving in between lessons.

290 euros sounds like a good deal, but think about having at least one lesson with an instructor before you pay for all 12. Just in case you don't feel 100% comfortable with your first instructor, you may want to move on to another one.

Your first instructor will give you a lesson log book. He will mark and stamp the book as each lesson is completed. Don't lose this book. If you move onto another instructor, he'll just pick up where the previous instructor left off.
