anyone heard of them, they seem to be a broker ,but which company do you end up getting the car from?
    economybookings.com
They are cheapest by far, half price for a particular car type I want compared to Budget...

Used them in portugal (Faro) recently. Local car hire company - Cars 4 fun supplied the car. Car was fine - fairly new with 44k on the clock. I took the extra insurance total cost €350 for 10 days. would recommend

If they're coming in lower than Budget then you better watch out, chances are that you are being quoted for the absolute minimum rental and there will be lots of 'optional' extras that they forgot to include but which you will have to pay for when you arrive to collect the car.

Budget themselves have a bad enough reputation for adding on extras after the event, you really do not want to be dealing with a broker who claims to be able to undercut their online quote.

There is a strong possibility that the broker will have gone bust by the time you arrive in which case Budget will tell you that you have no contract with them and they won't deal with you, that has happened umpteen tourists who booked hotel rooms with various intermediaries who took their money and then went bust.

    T&Cs seem to be reasonable,

7.4. Fuel policy. All vehicles have a full tank of fuel upon rental and must be returned with the same status (unless otherwise stated). If you return the vehicle part full, you will be charged for missing fuel at the end of the rental at the locally determined price.

    Except this one:
4.1. General provisions. The payment model for your reservation depends on the location and/or rental vehicle provider used. At all times you are responsible for payment of any additional services/ costs requested by you and you are responsible for any other service charges applied by said rental vehicle provider.

So Budget can charge whatever they want? Assuming Budget is the rental company.

I've made a booking anyway... now waiting for confirmation. They probably realize by now there's no renters in Galway that offer a 7 seater for 41 euro a day (+4 admin fee)

    Than Budget ?

I've rented around 26 times at this stage with Autoeurope and budget were rarely the cheapest.

Make sure you have insurance cover/insurance excess

lot of these agents give you the car without ANY excess whatsoever, so your liable for 25k if you crash !

    The Voucher mentions:

    YOUR RENTAL INCLUDES
    Unlimited mileage (unless otherwise stated)
Local taxes / Airport Surcharge / Road fee
Insurance (collision Damage Waiver, Theft Protection, 3rd Party liability)
    24 Hour Road assistance
    Lost Key
    YOUR RENTAL EXCLUDES
    Out of hours fees
    One way fees (if aplicable)
Deliveries and collections (if booked in advance)
Fines, Toll Fees & Parking charges
    Supplementary insurance with injury coverage

I also got excess protection through another company for 3 euro a day.

I'll call Budget on Monday to verify that I'm really getting a 7 seater.

    To update this...

Got 2 rentals, both with Budget - one 7 seater had a choice between a Zafira and a 3008, chose the 3008 (drove a 5 seater Zafira before and wanted something else), both 2012.
Excess was 1850 I think, they reserved this amount on the CC. Also took 125 euro fuel deposit which got refunded when I returned it full.

Second time booked a 'Corolla or similar', got a 2012 CMax with 4500km on board. 1300 excess, 100 something fuel deposit, worked out at 11-12 euro a day. There was a new guy that tried to add some extra 'Irish government tax' for 10 euro, I mentioned I didn't have to pay this first time and he removed it...

Also had extra insurance with carhireexcess.com for 3 euro a day for the first one, then took out the yearly European insurance for 50 euro. Luckily didn't have to use it ...
