I recorded a video on a camcorder but when I go to import the video clips via iPhoto, it says the clips are not a valid file.

Apparently the files are MPG and I can't edit the format through finder.

    Anyone got any ideas?

You need to have codecs installed on your PC to view certain video files. It may be quicktime it's looking for or you could download a codec pack like K-Lite Codec Pack. Try that first.
