Was looking at perhaps buying one , do you think it is worth the money ?

are there enough good games to justify buying it and do you play it enough ?

I already have the PS3 and really don't take any train journeys and the likes where I would be sitting down with nothing to do for an hour or so. Also have no holidays planned in the near future.

Friend of mine got one a week or so ago, he says its not really worth it at the moment but he is just a whore for Sonys goods

Would probably be best to wait until some of the games announced at E3 materialise, which could be in the Oct-Nov timeframe.

I posted this elsewhere but it works IMO. Ask yourself three questions before buying:
    - Will I use it regularly?
    - Do I like many games on the system?
    - Can I afford it?

If all three answers are yes, get it.

Personally, Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Motorstorm RC and Wipeout make it worth it for me.

I just traded mine in at GameStop. Haven't used it in 3 months

Otacons post pretty much sums it up.

Though the fact that you don't "travel" much makes it less useful I guess.

If you did decide to buy, the vita is also a great opportunity to check out any of the great psp games you may have missed (too many to name but I'm currently 80 hours into metal gear peace walker which is an incredible game).

There will eventually be a price drop and some AAA titles down the line, but not so many at present.

I haven't used mine in a while either but I'm not giving up on it, few future games had me sold on it so I went a head and bought it knowing it wouldn't get constant use.

Mine was an impulse buy whilst in Japan (€170!), got home and realised there wasn't one game I actually wanted to play on the thing! There are some good games lined up for future release though.

As I Travel a good but with college and work I have all ways had a handheld console

For me the vita worked when I had my PS3 nearly 70KM away from me at the weekend so I had to had something to do.

But I did sell a lot of my games to buy one. Eg old psp and all 20 games I had for it got nearly 230 euros for that and more games that I have that are worth a fair bit

But for me the vita is great as there is a lot of good games out for it already like FIFA uncarted wipeout Rayman gravity rush and a few good PSN games there to

At the moment I think the VITA is over priced for what it is as you need to get a 16GB card for it

But if I was going to buy one tommarow I would go on adverts and pick up cheap with a few games you be looking at a 8GB card a vita and 2 games for 200 or so euros

cheers for the replies. I might just hold off getting one for a bit. on looking at the games there seems to be little enough to warrant me getting the system just for 3/4 games.

I'm just a fool with money really :p any time i seem to have too much i just buy something silly !

I bought one on release day and while I played it alot initially I haven't touched it in weeks. That's not a reflection on the console as honestly it's a great piece of kit I just don't have the time. What little game time I have I spend on the PC.

The PS3 is even above it in the pecking order if I'm honest so yeah I would only recommend if you are sure you will get the use out of it.

Having said that I will be picking up Gravity Rush and playing it as it's one of the reasons I initially wanted it.

I use mine almost daily. There are some quality titles out that you would overlook such as takes from space, motorstorm or hussle kings (I like pool games). I'd say out of all the gaming platforms I have access to, it's tied top with my pc/laptop.

Well, the way I decide is I look at the current games I want to play on my PS3 and then I look at the current list of games I'd like to play on the VITA.

Everytime I do that, the PS3 list kills the VITA list for quality, price etc.

Personally I'd wait it off for one of (or both of) two things.

The price to go down and/or more games to be released. I'm not saying the games that are out now are bad. In fact, I've no say in that matter as I've never played any of them but I've seen videos.

Mostly the price though, I'm impulsive, and I've been pretty close to actually saving over 240 quid to get one but changed my mind at the last minute, it just seems like too much.

Personally I'd wait for the price to go down or hunt around shopping sites for a nice bargain on one.
    :)

I would say no , or not yet. I got it with fifa , its lucky that i like fifa as there are no other games out there that i like. The selection is poor although there are psp games that you can download. That list of games is also poor as there are loads in shops that i want and cant buy because it doesnt take the disks.

The fact that people are excited about a youtube app says it all really.

Hell there are microwaves with youtube now !!

I would say wait or get a DS. Games are not being made for Vita like they are with the rest of consoles

There is a lot of great games out for the vita after only 4 months what else do you think your going to get in less then 16 weeks of a new handhelds life

    Wipeout
    Uncharted
    Rayman
    Disgaea 3
    MGS HD
    Super Stardust
    Fifa

That is 7 great games in 4 months i think if it keeps going like that its a great little handheld if you get 28 games a year you wont to play for it

They are not going to make games just for you Dre Really tell me what games you are looking for on the vita

At the moment there is a great sale on PSP games on PSN must are only €5 euro and must are the classic PSP games
