Well folks after 2 good years its time to say goodbye to my mk 3 golf variant.
After ringing several scrap yards they told me there's no demand for parts so they wouldn't pay me.
Does anyone in the trade perhaps know where i can try? Do i need a log book to scrap it?
    Many thanks

If its driving you'll get someone to take it off you. What engine is in it?

Advertise it on donedeal - someone will buy it, guaranteed, or else weigh it in at a scrap metal yard, it should make around €170 - Higgins in Kilcock for example. Do not give it away for free.:)

Post it up on vagdrivers.net before you try to scrap it. Lads there are always after bits. You may even sell the car complete.

I was made an offer but it was tiny.
The hg went after an oil leak. I would like to fix but i'm too busy at work. Its a 1.4 petrol. Its the estate model. Such a shame to see her go though. A lotta happy memories and miles in her. :( i don't want to break it as its too much hassle. A friend has promised me the engine from his golf. Again i'd love to but the effort required means taking about a week off work and bringing it to the self service garage in tallaght

... as tiny as it might have been was it realistic?
Anything in the region of €100 would be fair enough tbh.

Tbh no it was less than 50. I'd love to fix it up or let someone fix it rather than just scrapping.

    I'll give you 50

*all offers related to this post are genuine and will be paid in full with cash. All offers are subject to some other spoofer not coming on offering more, forcing me to up my offer. If I feel I have been ridden up the stick, I retain the right to reflect on said offer and offer another offer. Due to the "being a male" thing, I may offer more than I intended to offer, however, as a male, I will honour all offers as to not honour an offer is ghey.
