A family member failed a fetac level 5 due to missing a large portion of their course through being ill, now they are well enough to return but want to do a different course. Would they be entitled to a grant or because its another level 5 are they out of luck?

    Thanks for any advice offered.

The general rule of thumb with the grants is - you'll get it as long as you are progressing through the framework of qualifications. I doubt s/he will get the grant again for staying at the same level.

Yeah thought so but they were kinda hoping as its a fail so they don't actually have a level 5 it might not be considered a sideways step. Thanks.
