Apologies if you've seen this before. I had a close shave and was classified as "suspect".

Very proud to say - I only got one! Number 12, the casino chip thing... is that obnoxious?? :D :pac:

I usually keep any large foreign coins I have and throw em in my golf bag as markers, but I got this casino chip thingy from a pub a while back (was actually a drinks discount token) and just thought it was perfect...

Surely everyone's a number 5? Tee box on a height, grab 2-3 irons and leave bag at bottom of hill as you're not sure until you're standing on the tee box what to hit.

I have a casino chippy thing as well.......

Well cos I carry my bag, I usually just carry it up there... but yeah, alot of people do this and I wouldn't consider it 'poser-ish'...

I expected to get a fair few, but only had 2 in the end - and I'd defend myself on both.

    3. Announcing that I intend to shape a shot. Tounge in cheek really - more poking fun at myself for trying a shot that's really beyond me, but also it annoys me when I pull off a really good shot and people tell me it's a fluke.

    20. Being annoyed at a shot that hits a green in regulation. Surely we've all been very near a par 4 from a drive or practically on a par 5 in two only to hit a poor pitch leaving ourselves a putt the length of the green. I think it's particularly annoying because walking up to the shot you were thinking you have a chance for a bird.

A comfortable 7. In my defence, I have broken 80 more than once :p

Hmmm an embarrassing 7 (could even be 9)!

    3 for me.
But surely i can blame the wife for buying me the tour bag as a christmas:o.
My arguement is its worth at least a shot in matchplay.
That said after the first tee shot the opponent usually gives up cause he has pi$$ed himself laughing and ruined his pants.:D

Guilty of number 3 and 20 myself.

#3 as a joke be ause I sometimes have a huge slice right to left off the tee with driver
#7 guilty as sin but only after an exceptional shot by my standards (maybe only on e a round)
#12 is questionable I use a blessing coin I was givin to keep in my wallet years ago way before I started playing golf. .. It's supposed to bring u luck ? It's the size of an old pound coin

    Just to defend myself.......

I answered yes to the following:

    2. Back tees........yes I always have to play off them as I find it hard to throttle back on my drives from the "normal" tees and I end up through the green on most par 4s,

    3. Shaping a shot.......I always call my deliberate fades around doglegs.......and then laugh when i double-cross myself and the ball ends up further from the hole than when it started (I guess this means I also do number 10).

    5. 2 clubs......I often empty my whole bag on the fairway as I find it hard to know which club to chip with onto the green with my 2nd shot.

    9. Lead tape......I thought everybody did this to cure a fade or draw. I also tour-grind all my irons.

    13. I also ask for the flag to be removed when I'm chipping as I don't want my eagle chip to hit the flag and spin out of the hole.

    14. I always wear slacks.......shorts should not be allowed on the golfcourse.......Irish men have skinny white legs.

    16. Yes I tap the tee down with my driver.........it looks so girly bending over to adjust a tee.

    19. I always hitch up my sleeve just to show off my tats

    20. Hitting a green in regulation! I am disgusted if I can't hit the green with my drive

    23. Why wouldn't you walk to the green to assess the break on a 30 yard chip........do you not want to hole your 2nd shot?

If I could keep a caddie long enough then I'd have answered a couple of the caddie ones yes.

But........who in their right mind marks their ball with a poker chip........SOOOOOOO unclassy. You'd get thrown straight out of my club for doing that.

3, 10, 18 and 20 I'd have to admit to. So, safe but only just!

I'm honestly coming in around 11 which isn't all that surprising because I'm a wänkër off the course as well.

    3. [Announcing the shot shape] I have done this before. Only a handful of times though, like maybe three.
    5. [Pulling 2 clubs] I do this, didn't see much wrong with it but can see how it can come off wrong with all of the other stuff, like "I'm sooo precise, I'm torn between carrying 143 and 149" Truth is, if you're any good you'll just pick either club and make a decent shot.
    7. [Twirling/Casting Club] Have pointed the club out after the ball - would never twirl though.
    10. [Blurting after shot] I've done this plenty of times, it's usully "agh, pulled the head off it" or "agh, cut the arse off it"
    13. [Flag out] Yeah...
    14. [Slacks] Yeah my wardrobe is quite limited.
    15. [Slacks with Slits] Not even sure what it is but probably.
    17. [Colour co-ordinating] By accident really.
    19. [Hitch sleeves] Sleeves annoy me, what can I say, usually prefer short sleeves
    20. [Disgust at GIR] Sometimes yeah, if I hit a crappy one from inside 100yds
    23. [Break outside 30yds] Yeah I've done this but only on a blind uphill pitch.

20 - As some people mentioned above, its not being egotistical, but if you've the ability to be close with a scoring iron and your not, its frustrating

23 - Definitely, there is plenty of occasions playing on away courses I'd do this , especially links courses.

19 - Dont like jumpers covering, coming down over my wrists, pet hate.

I have however avoided the typical poser cliché of wearing white belts. I am a proud wearer of a black and yellow Batman belt.....

And last week returned a black pair of FJ Aqualites as they were leaking, was disgusted to be handed a white pair as they didn't have my size in black.
