Currents??

Hi Folks, I am just enquiring into some areas where very strong currents may be an issue.I have an inflatable kayak which I use mainly for beach kayaking off Dublin but I am thinking of the following areas as possible areas where I can take a road trip to and do some paddling. Helvic Head,Waterford Clew Bay,Westport,Co.…

Hi Folks,

Helvic Head,Waterford
Clew Bay,Westport,Co. Mayo
Achill Island,Mayo
Killary Harbour,Galway

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Keel beach far left by the rocks has a tough rip. You should be able to read the currents and local advice would be a lot more sound than here. Be careful on an inflatable too..... Work of the.devil!
