Couldnt find a thread on this anywhere.. But for everyone who didnt know, Dacia have finally decided to launch in Ireland.
There is even an official website to register your interest and to see when they are coming www.dacia.ie as well as Twitter and Facebook pages. It seems that the Duster will be the 1st to arrive, with the sandero following suit a couple of months later. Most of the other models will be launched here next year.

Btw mods: I am hoping the official website should be enough of a source.

    The next Ssangyong no doubt.

Well they are made by Renault. They have been In France a while and seem to be quite popular

Depends how cheap they are I guess. As some one who isn't too fond of Renaults, I can safely say a budget Renault would not be my cup of tea. These Dacia's are effectively parts bin products of older Renaults. And I find the Duster to be an awful looking yoke as well tbh

On another note, these are the new generation of budget car I guess, along with the Chinese in a few years. Hyundai and Skoda are hardly budget cars any more..

Ye they seem to be a lot cheaper then Renault's in France anyway. When I am over there I see the Duster advertised for about 11/12K new. I personally like the Dacia sandero, I think that the duster is alright but I think some of the older models such as the Dacia Logan are muck.

I don't believe that even an economy Renault could ever be that bad.

Ireland is a market where, much more then other markets, many 'motorists' are only interested in the price and the year on the reg plate, add that to the no doubt decent finance packages that will come with them and they will sell like hotcakes IMO.

Yeah, the last model Logan was effectively a Clio saloon.
