Foot in the door job in Dublin or any Large Town

What would be the best bet for a person with office & computer skills to get a job quickly, even minimum wage? Just to get a foot in the door and be working

I thought Call Centres might be the best chance for quickly getting a job but maybe there is a better way?
I have no experience in hotels/pubs but would be willing to take on a job there doing menial work if it could bring in €300/week. My only concern is that being in my 40s I might not be as fast as the younger more experienced in doing menial labour.

I would even consider doing 2 part-time jobs if I could find them.

    Thanks for any tips

Would you consider teaching English in China...?

I have been out of the country (Ireland) for more than 10 years; if my job search does not turn up something within two months, and I apply for social assistance to help me while I continue the job search, is it likely I would qualify for some help?
I am aware of the procedures on the Citizen Information website, but would like an opinion from anyone with experience in this please
    Thanks in advance

OP a lot of call centers run referral schemes whereby current employees get an incentive if they recruit friends so if you know anyone working in one ask them about it.
And if you speak a high level of German PM me and I'll sort you out with interviews for call centres pretty quick.

You will need to prove that you are habitually resident, ie have cut ties with the other places, and shifted properly back to Ireland: you'd need stuff like closed bank accounts, receipts for shipping your stuff here, etc.

Try asking in State Benefits for up to date experiences with how the rules are being applied.
