Buy and Sell is not DoneDeal OP but thanks for the voucher.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,783 ✭✭✭Pj!

... although one wouldn't blame you for thinking you were on DoneDeal. The BuyandSell website is a shameless rip-off of DoneDeal.

Is buy & sell not around longer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,140 ✭✭✭gipi

The old buy&sell website was a nightmare - a bit like gumtree.

The new one is shamelessly copied, but hey, why ruin a winning formula!

The format probably doesn't work as well but I didn't know that it was free. Why don't they mention that on the front page?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,359 ✭✭✭Access

You should change that topic thread to state "buyandsell" OP!

Was happy till i saw it was for B&S! :(

Thanks worked for me. It flashed up "Sorry you have already used this voucher" but then immediately went to the "Your ad is being published" page. Thanks OP.

    Nice, that worked, thank you.

Used it yesterday and just sent it on to a few buddies, nothing like sharing the love :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 341 ✭✭Damie

    Just used it, thanks OP.

For its not working for some, when you enter the code, press 'Enter' on the keyboard and it will accept it then...

    cheers...

Although, I've just added an ad but when I search for it, it doesn't appear in the results page. An abomination of a search tool tbf.....

    [Mod snipped]

Adverts is good for selling cheap things like childrens clothes but when it comes to motors etc, DD is the way to go

Don't think I'll sell anymore on adverts. Drives me fukn nuts. You make it clear 'No silly offers and no swaps please'. First comment - swap for Dr Dre beats! and full of chancers making silly offers.

Funnily enough, never had any problems on DD. You add on a few quid for leway but never anyone offering half you're looking for. Not yet anyway :)

the problem with adverts is its full of people wanting to sell stuff! nobody goes there to buy!

mmm, i've sold thousands worth of stuff. maybe it's the stuff you are selling? :D

I'm convinced Adverts is full of people who put offers on items with absolutely no intention of buying. Weird thrillseekers or something.

its the internet - its much easier to go online and leave an offer if you're only half interested than to actually go to the bother of ringing someone...
