Slurry Tank Vanes

    the slurry pump is seized, opened it up at the back and on of the vains are broken inside, any ideas how to get it out or will i have to open the pump from the front, thanks

    Hi kev there is an old thread on here somewhere, I explained how to do it. Could have been 2010 or 2011. Could be in the stickies. You open it at the back.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    Anyone ever hear of letting the pump suck in some lubricating oil/diesel mix when you're finished with the spreader for a while? A friend of mine told me about it and I've been doing it for a while. Supposed to keep the vanes from going rusty.

    I always give the pump a small drink of diesel when parking it up for a while,some years back I spent hours with small grinder,hammer and wood chisel trying to remove vanes.
