Asking a girl out at work?

    Just looking for some input on a situation i find myself in

    Ive been working in my job for a number of years now, Theres a girl thats been working there for a similar length of time. Ive always noticed her & taught that she was a good looking girl but she works in a different department & we never really crossed paths or talked to each up until a month ago when i got chatting to her on a work night out. Nothing came of it, I wasnt even trying to chat her up,it was just a conversation really.

    However since that night out,everytime we see each other we'l have a bit of a chat about various things like what our weekend plans are etc. Recently ive noticed that shes been going out of her way to talk to me, For example i was sending a fax the other day & she pretended to be sending a fax as well just so she could come over & have a chat. Also if she was walking passed me & I didnt see her she would say hello to get my attention.

    Now im due to leave the job next month, Ive got another job lined up & id really like to ask this girl out before i leave. I dont know if im reading the signs wrong but i think theres definate interest on her part too. Problem is ive asked a girl out that i worked with before & i was shot down & i felt a bit of embarresment about having to see the girl everyday. I dont really want to make a fool of myself again, So i dont know if i should ask this girl out and if i do, Should i do it sooner rather than later or wait until the day im leaving

    Any advice would be appreciated

    You feel that this girl is going out of her way to chat to you so this shows she is keen. You are leaving the job so you have the perfect opportunity to ask this girl out and if she refuses then you don't ever have to see her again, so I would say forge ahead and ask her out, probably best to wait until your leaving "do" and then you don't have to see her again if she refuses.
