    I and a few other women have played in a golf society outing there, in an outing made up mostly of men,should be no problem.Don't know in general if they can play there....

    Some carry on that. At the risk of hopping on a high horse - the more pertinent question is would any woman actually want to play there.

    Of course they can. They are even allowed to have dinner in the clubhouse afterwards and don't have to abide by the dinner jacket rule either.

    We have a work outing in the old Portmarnock this year for the first time also - really looking forward to it, as are all of our lady members !!
