    Hey all,

I joined a club last year but rarely ever played and when i did it was with my mates however this year i would like to have a go at playing weekly comps.

My problem is that my mates only want to play the odd round of golf so I have no playing partners to play in the comps with as i dont know anyone really in the club. I know normally you could just book online into a teetime with people but my club doesnt have this facility. Has anyone any ideas as to how I could join some groups so that I could play some comps.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

just ring the club and get your name on the sheet..i joined a new club this year and have met loads of guys for the first time on the first tee on a sunday morning and all have been great ..you just need to do this for a month or two and then guys will get your number and it will come to a stage where you will have too many requests for a game on a sunday...

Thanks, will ring up the club and do that so.

On a side note does it cost much for a club to have the online tee booking? It seems most clubs have it nowadays.
