Kung fu in Rathmines?

    A friend of mine told me that he is pretty sure that there is a kung fu club which trains in the Church of Ireland Training College in upper Rathmines in Dublin. He is not sure what kind of kung fu. He reckons it's either Shaolin or Choy lay fut. He said that they also train somewhere near Cork Street. I've done an extensive web search on this but I can't find anything. Does anyone know which club this might be?

    Phoning up the facilities people at the Training College and ask who's renting the hall would probably be the quickest way to find out.

    Yeah. I did that and I'm awaiting a call-back but, in my experience, half the time people don't bother calling you back.

    Not sure if you're still following this thread but I used to do Kung Fu for 2-3 years in town but they moved to somewhere near Crumlin, just down the road from Our Ladys Hospital. Here's a few links.

    Niall Keane used to run classes in St Mary's in Rathmines, but has since moved venues. Details here; http://sanshou.webs.com/classes.htm When the Rathmines class was on there was also a Japanese JJ club using the same hall spaces as us beforehand, not sure I they're there any longer. We also used train in RMDS in Renelagh at one point, and there was a Kung Fu club also using the hall space at that time. Again, no longer sure if they're still around.
