    Morning,

Just wondering if anyone is doing this and has access to the information packs as the website link is broken. My main question is around picking up the race packs. Current information says this can only be done on Thursday or Friday evening. Not sure if if this makes sense, as if I hadn't already registered online I could turn up on the day and register and thus get my race pack, so why can't I pick up my race pack on the morning if I have made it easier for the organisers by pre-registering. Not a major problem for locals I guess but I'm not in the county and can only travel on Saturday. Any help/ advice gratefully appreciated.

Seems to be some negative feedback previously regarding short course too, anyone know if this has been resolved?

I have ran this before and registered on the day, not sure about pick ups though. It is a good event and gets big numbers , BUT it was short the times I ran it and other runners will confirm this or just look at the times.. ! Very annoying , I hope its resolved this year as its well run, a good buzz and a decent course - Just add the extra 150m odd on and it will be a great event...

    +1 on the above.

Have done this a couple of times as well and couldn't believe that the course was still short the 2nd time I did it  Very frustrating and would be relatively easy to the solve imho as they seem to have plenty of scope both at the start and finish to find the extra yards.

I've done this race 3 times. Its a nice course but I wont be back. It's short and the organisers dont care. I contacted them last year looking for reassurance that it would be 10k and they said it would be. It wasnt. Very frustrating.

I was going to pop out and do this myself but after the feedback above I'll leave it. I'll keep the legs for Eddie Murphy 5 mile Saturday night. Plus it's cheaper too.

Short course, yet again! 6.11 miles. Otherwise a decent event but won't be back. As others said, short course has been pointed out to organisers previously and ignored, not good enough. It would be a little less frustrating if they hadn't 150 meters of unused track that they could use!

Numbers seemed down this year. Just over 1000. Annoying that the results still haven't been posted. Seems they won't post them until after they are in the paper on Tuesday. Considering everyone was chipped there can be no other reason (unless Ulster Bank are doing it). The Packie Ryan run had over 1700 in it, not chipped, and all times posted on the day.

Those that say it was short - any idea which km, if any in particular, were short? Or was the distance spread over each of the 10?

Full results are available on running in Munster website, can't post link but google it and its the second or third link on the main page.

Not sure about any particular km being short as I was working off miles. Just going by total distance covered coming up short!

I didn't run it this year, but based on my Garmin trace for 2011 and my memory of where the km markers were, there wasn't one particularly short km just a cummulative effect. The 9km mark should be up at the Coach park in Lees Rd, but as I recall it was much closer to the gate (at the top of the hill).

As was said earlier, it's really annoying that they start in an area with no traffic and plenty of space and finish on a track and couldn't find the extra 150m when it has been pointed out again and again. A simple change to run the track the "wrong" way would resolve this.

The results are to be published tomorrow in The Clare People so that's probably why they are not available on the website.

I agree about this been short by about 150 to 200m

I followed the website instructions to pick up my race pack at the Clare People office on Saturday morning. Shut. No one there, except for about 20 other competitors. If I was on my own, I would've thought it was my mistake. But that many people can't have made the same mistake. Poor instructions.

The rest of the race was great. Well organised and friendly. Although, I agree it was short, which is very frustrating as now I can't trust my "PB".

Just emailed about the results on line. I don't live in Clare so don't have easy access to the Clare People. I was told I could pay for it on-line. When I entered I was never told I would have to pay to get my result. Annoying.

Very annoyed about the distance being short, as I'd been targeting this for a PB. It's a sanctioned event under Athletics Ireland - does it not have to have some sort of official measurement taken?

Very poor form with the way they are handling the results.

You would have to buy the paper online. The results will eventually get published for free on the website, they have for all previous years.
