Are Torgoens any good?

I think a couple of regulars here have or had a Torgoen - are they recommended?

I came across this model on Amazon for £245, and I really like the look of it. I've been on the lookout for a sporty watch that isn't a diver and isn't digital. It's 45mm too, which is a good size for me.



The only thing is that Amazon and eBay are awash with brands that are expensive for no real reason that I can see (Invicta, Swiss Legend etc), so I was wondering what you knowledgeable people thought?

I'm never too sure if "swiss quartz" can just mean that it's been shipped in from elsewhere and just put in a case in Switzerland.

I have had 3 of them and still have one left.

I love them, love the big clear dials, great lume

They have a great presence, great build quality

Good price too for what you are getting

Wouldn't be without it tbh

I did check it out a short while ago alright. I know it does tick the boxes I listed above, but I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for. I'm a fussy git.

That's great value, thanks for that. There are definitely a few Citizens I have my eye on as well.

I bought the T5 Zulu time that Deep Thought sold last year. I love it and wear it often for the same reasons he gave.

It probably gets the most wrist time of all my watches.

Ta, but already have two diver style watches. The one I linked to above is quite different to my others.
