Lads, I've looked an can't find an answer to what should be a fairly easy question... Is there a 32" TV out there with DVB-T2 & S2?? And has USB record..

Yes I know a cheaper TV and a box makes more sense, but I'm looking for a folks friendly, basic recording option.

    Any ideas?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-TX-L32D25B-32-inch-Widescreen-Freeview/dp/B003H4QMM6/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt

First one Google found, I think the media player aspect may be a bit flaky on it though.

Look for tv's that are Freeview HD (DVB-T2) and Freesat HD (S2) and you might get some more results, though they probably will be fairly expensive.

//Edit: misread about recording from USB, though I think it might.

You can get Samsung smart tv's ( series 5 onwards) with a Freesat dvb-s 2 tuner and dvb-t in 32" that will receive Saorview & Freesat and also it has a full web browser and Pvr function, for around 550 - 600.

I have set up a few of these and they work very well. Search 'UE32ES5500KXXU satellite' which is a model number for the 5 series smart tv. These are very neat especially for wall mounting as there's no need for stb's etc

@ Vogel: I'm trying to avoid Panasonic after all the feedback from boards users

@ John Mac: yep, did see that thread, but the TV's referenced are too big. And expensive. Thanks though.

@ aerial man: Thanks for the model #, but are you sure that TV does DVB-T2? Arnotts have an OK deal on if it did, first google result.

Yes, I was receiving BBC 1 HD etc, from Preseli and RTE 2 HD from Gorey, also you can have the Satellite set to Freesat to get the 7 day epg etc if you set the TV correctly.

The spec indicates it has a DVB-T2 tuner but no satellite tuner - http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UE32ES5500KXXU-spec. Powercity - http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-12-32ES550&pages=1&prod=32ES550&brands=SAMSUNG&image=

The UE32ES6300UXXU has both a DVB-T2 terrestrial tuner and DVB-S2 satellite tuner (with both terrestrial and satellite inputs) - http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UE32ES6300UXXU-spec. On sale in Powercity - http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-12-32ES630&pages=1&prod=32ES630&brands=SAMSUNG&image=

The spec for both indicates - "Personal Video Recorder Ready available", "Time Shift Ready available".

Also I was in Currys recently and I noticed a Toshiba with a satellite input, didn't get the model no. so unable to check the spec.
