Port Forwarding SFTP for Filezilla on Eircom router

    Hi there,

I'm trying to use SFTP on Filezilla Client to upload some stuff onto my website. I spent a good bit of time on the phone today with Eircom and the website hosting company who were extremly helpful but haven't had any luck. I'm using a Netopia 2247-62 router.

All my Filezilla settings have been verified by the hosting company. They also set up an outbound rule in Windows Firewall settings.

In the router config under NAT, I enabled FTP for port 20 - 21 and enabled SSH for port 22 which didn't help. I also turned off the firewall, this didn't work either.

While trying to connect with Filezilla, this is what I get :
    fzSftp started
    open 'username'
    Pass: *******
    Status : Connected to ftp.********.ie
    Status : Retrieving directory listing...
    Command : pwd
Response : Current directory is ********
Error : Failed to parse returned path
Error : Failed to retrieve directory listing

I also added these port forwarding settings but they're for Filezilla Server but I thought I'd try them anyway. http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netopia/2247-62/FileZilla_Server.htm

Does anyone know what the correct way of port forwarding this is ???

    Thanks for any help !

Well thanks for the HUGE response people :D Just in case anyone has this problem in the future, I reset the modem back to factory settings and it's fixed.
