We have a grandfather clock which has been in our family for many generations, I'd be interested to know how old it is if thats possible. The numbers are in Roman numerals on the face and there is some faded writing below the centre of the clock face that appears to have read "Drogheda North"

Unless he/she speaks latin (the clock has Roman numerals), it will be like talking to a wall.

Pics might help patsman07. The style of dial and casing can narrow down a date for you.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
